New Chuck Loeb Music Unspoken
We like Fourplay at The Jazz World…..Of course I am talking about the group! Well a member of that iconic band and also Jazz Funk Soul, Chuck Loeb will release his 18th album, Unspoken on September 30th. This release will feature a star-studded cast, including saxophonists Everette Harp, Eric Marienthal, Dave Mann and Andy Snitzer, bassist Nathan East, drummer Brian Dunne and pianists Jeff Lorber and Brian Culbertson, among others.
Just the thought of all of these artists on the same album has us salivating!
We have a sample for you right here with the first single: Cotton Club
Chuck picked up the guitar as a child, and has been honing his skills ever since. He was a student at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he studied with Pat Metheny.
I would have loved to be a fly on the wall for some of those sessions!
After graduating, Loeb joined Gloria Gaynor’s band, then in 1979, he became a member of Stan Getz’s ensemble. He joined the group Steps Ahead in 1985 with Michael Brecker, Michael Mainieri, Peter Erskine and Victor Bailey.
In 1988, he started recording his own creations, starting with My Shining Hour.
We will post a review for the New Chuck Loeb Music Unspoken album as soon as it is available. We are sure it will be a hit based on his proven songwriting and this all-star cast!
