[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Mya has released a new single titled Ready for Whatever. It is a smoothed out track that showcases her laid back vocal style.

Her first release, Mya, dropped in 1998. It was a modest hit, in my opinion, but it spawned a couple of hits. Her second release, Fear Of Flying, really put her on the map. With songs like Case Of The Ex, and Free (produced by Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis) put her in the forefront of R&B in the early 2000’s. Free was a totally underrated track in my opinion. It definitely had a Janet Jackson feel to it.
Mya also worked on a couple of smash singles for other artists. Pras‘ Ghetto Supastar ended up being a huge hit, and Take Me There by Blackstreet, showed her versatility.
She has since released five additional albums, and other various singles. Of course we cannot forget the iconic Lady Marmalade, with Christina Aguilera, Pink, and Lil’ Kim.
With the release of Ready For Whatever, let’s hope she drops an album of new material.
