Marcus Anderson is the host of a special weekend getaway. It is called Marcus Anderson’s Jazz And Coffee Escape, and it will take place August 16th-17th. Asheville, North Carolina will be the scene for two days of great smooth jazz.
If you are wondering about the “coffee” angle, Anderson has his own line of coffee. The And Coffee brand was founded by Anderson around 2012. He has built a nice business that compliments the music, as Anderson literally writes songs around the popular drink. You can check out the website here.
Back to the event.
Some of the top contemporary jazz artists will be on hand to entertain you on this weekend getaway. Asheville is about 130 miles outside of Charlotte. It is known for a vibrant arts scene and historic architecture, including the dome-topped Basilica of Saint Lawrence. The vast 19th-century Biltmore estate displays artwork by masters like Renoir. The Downtown Art District is filled with galleries and museums, and in the nearby River Arts District, former factory buildings house artists’ studios. It is about 130 miles outside of Charlotte.
Sounds like a great weekend to me!
