With a three decade history in the San Francisco Bay area as a performer and educator, Marcia Miget grew up in the Midwest and was taught music by her parents. The “Vaune Sisters” performed on piano, sax, drums and bass, as well as vocals, renditions of Jazz and Pop Claissics.
To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Otis Redding’s classic Marcia is releasing her stunning instrumental interpretation of “Dock Of The Bay”.
Produced by Chris “Big Dog” Davis, “Dock of the Bay” features Marcia on saxophone and flute.

After my daily trips to the pool, we’d meet up at the local Ewald’s, get a hamburger and Coke, put a quarter in the jukebox to hear Otis Redding sing “Sitting On The Dock of The Bay”. – Marcia Miget[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
Really a sweet, hip, dance-able reworking of Dock of the Bay. Love your work Mee-J!
So glad you like it! We also have Marcia Miget ‘Discovery’ a CD of her original works in the Latin Jazz idiom featuring some of the finest musicians from the San Francisco Bay Area.
