Ledisi, the Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter has released the first single, Anything For You, from her forthcoming album Wild Card. The album is set to be released this August via Listen Back/BMG. ‘Anything For You’ is the first new song from Ledisi since 2017.

When she wrote the song she tapped into strong emotions she was feeling about how powerful love is and how she would do anything to protect the people that she loves. When her friend’s father passed away he told his family that he hoped that he did everything he could for his family, inspiring her to embrace the need to express love.
Said Ledisi, “As Nina [Simone] said: ‘Artists should represent the times’. I think it’s a perfect time for this song. Just remembering that I love you always, I love you and you’ll get through this and we’re going to get through this.”
