Mark Allen Felton honed his musical skills playing in clubs in the Los Angeles area while appearing in videos by Ed OG & the Bulldogs and Tony! Toni! Toné!. Felton produced his first solo CD On The Prowl in 1994 and went on to share the stage with many artists including: Al Jarreau, Oleta Adams, Patti Labelle, Chaka Khan, Kenny G., Kirk Whalum, Dave Koz, Billy Preston, Marcus Miller, Lalah Hathaway, Jeffrey Osborne, and many others.
Felton credits Kool & The Gang as an early influence. “When I saw their horn section, I knew then I wanted to play an instrument, and not long after that I was introduced to Grover Washington Jr.’s music. That was it for me, I was hooked!”
