Since 2010, the contest has helped musicians who are just starting their careers. It actually began as a guitar contest. They have since expanded to include other instruments.
The guitar categories include: Rock, Blues, Jazz, Acoustic, Classical, and Rhythm.
There are also separate categories for Bass, Drums, and Piano.
