Hot Jazz Tracks Week of October 16

Been Around The World, the first single off of Funk!, the new album from Brian Culbertson climbs to the top spot this week.  This album is in conjunction with the big tour that is happening right now.  You can see the dates and locations here.  Culbertson has always been a favorite of mine, as he is able to create music that does not only sit in the Smooth Jazz genre.  His creations capture funk, soul, and also the fine slow jams that he has released over the years.  I am sure Been Around The World will be the first of many tracks off the album that will sit at the top of the charts in the coming months.

Darren Rahn is back with the second single off of the Sonic Boom album.  Funk Avenue features Rick Braun and it is another nice cut from that great album.
