Seal with Corinne Bailey Rae – July 18th
Seal‘s current album, Standards, has some gems that offer a current take on some of those old standards that you love so much. Luck Be A Lady and I Put A Spell On You are two that stand out to me.
Corinne Bailey Rae‘s latest is called The Heart Speaks In Whispers.Ā My favorite song is still Put Your Records On. Go listen to that, in case you forgot.

Queen Latifah and Common – August 22nd
Do you remember when Queen Latifah was a rapper? She was one of the first female MC’s to hit the scene. The track Ladies’ First with Monie Love is still one of my favorite old-school jams. She has seamlessly transitioned from Hip-Hop to R&B to the stage and screen.
Common is also a double threat in the Entertainment Industry. In addition to all of his film work, he continues to record those smoothed out rhymes.
In case you forgot, Latifah and Common starred in the film Just Wright.

George Benson with Ledisi – August 29th
One of the all-time greats will hit the Hollywood Bowl at the end of August. George Benson will perform all of the hits for a special evening of Jazz and R&B. It is hard to choose a favorite, but I am partial to Turn Your Love Around and Give Me The Night. You cannot go wrong with any of the hits, though.
He will also have a couple of guest stars. Ledisi andĀ JosĆ© James Celebrates Bill Withers will perform, making this a must-see event.
