George Clinton Parliament Funkadelic Tour

If you like your funk really nasty, then this show is specifically for you.  Get ready for the George Clinton Parliament Funkadelic Tour.  It is happening through November, as they will hit select cities in the US.

So, what is your favorite song from the Master’s of Funk?!  Most people go with Atomic Dog.  That is a track that you will still hear at the clubs, and it still fills the floor, just like it did when it came out in 1982.  There are those who like Flashlight.  That is not my favorite, but that bassline is probably the funkiest in the history in recorded music!

What about One Nation Under a Groove?  It is definitely a classic.  Then there’s Give Up The Funk (Tear The Roof Off The Sucker).  This one might be a close second for me.  That is some good music right there, with that mid tempo groove.  You can get out on the dance floor and dance to that without breaking a sweat.

My favorite is (Not Just) Knee Deep.  For me, that is the baddest funk jam of all time.  Man, that keyboard part at the beginning is the lick.  THEN you have Philippé Wynne of The Spinners with that iconic vocal run.  The original track comes in at a whopping 15 minutes long.

I guess you cannot get too much of a good thing!

It makes no difference what song you like the best, as I am sure you like all of the ones I mentioned.  George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic will definitely do all of your favorites, so if they are coming to a city near you, get on out there and tear the roof off the mothersucker!
